Mihayo Wilmore serves as the Chief Technology Officer of GoSoft Integrated Solutions. Mihayo has over 20 years’ experience in Product Development, Financial Technologies, Mobile Money, and Telecommunications. He has led multi-functional and multi-disciplinary teams in Africa, Europe, North and South America and has worked with leading brands such as Nation Media, Microsoft, Cisco, Alcatel, Celtel, Tigo, MTN, Zantel, Zain, Airtel and Unisys. He has applied his extensive skillset to a wide array of industries including digital financial services, telecommunication, rural economic development, print media, content creation, supply & value chain management, social security funds, regulatory & policy frameworks, Public Private Partnerships, and revenue generation.
Mihayo is a co-founder of several successful startups namely Twigalpha Tanzania, UmojaOne, the parent company of UhuruONe, Selcom Broadband (SBB), and Telesis Tanzania which owned the digital dividend spectrum popularly known as Tigo 4G operated by Millicom SA.
Mihayo has worked with Central & Local Governments, Ministerial Organs, USAID, World Bank, and DFID in partnership with Donor Fund managers such as DAI, TechnoServe, ACDI/VOCA, Creative Associates, Land o’Lakes, and Enterprise Works in Micro-Enterprise Development in Agriculture and Primary Education in Tanzania.
Mihayo served on the board of Dar Teknohama Business Incubator (DTBi) whose participants have been put on global platforms like ITU World Conference, GSMA and SeedSpace. Mihayo holds an MSIS from Pennsylvania State University, Pennsylvania, and a BA Computer Science and Psychology from The Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, USA.
