Overview
The Proof of Concept with GoSoft began in July 2022 for water management services at Pamoke. This is one of the properties owned by Konare Group Limited that consist of a multi-dwelling building with 13 rental units. Services offered by GoSoft during this period were:
- Supply and installation of water meters.
- Billing and Collection.
- Payment of Water Service Provider.
- Repairs, upgrade and maintenance of water supply infrastructure.
- Consultation services on water management.
Points to Note
Efficiency
The installation team worked diligently to ensure that each ultrasonic smart water meter was installed efficiently and accurately, without disruptions for the tenants.
Accuracy
The ultrasonic meters provided precise measurements, giving a more accurate understanding of water usage across units. Discrepancies between the water supplied and overall consumption, which were mainly caused by the non-metered areas such as caretaker meter, common tap areas etc, were also reduced. This had previously resulted in loss of revenue for the company and accumulation of debt from outstanding bills.
Data Collection
There is near real-time access to valuable data on water consumption patterns, allowing for informed decisions and optimization of water management strategies. For instance, where bills are disputed it is easy to verify the legitimacy of the claim using previous data and/or daily consumption data.
Remote Monitoring
One of the most significant advantages of the ultrasonic smart meters is their ability to be remotely monitored. Enabling for timely detection and addressing issues around water loss, leaks etc.
Sustainability
GoSoft’s managed services has ensured timely billing and collections. This has reduced the previously outstanding debt to the public utility supplying water to Pamoke. Furthermore, it has ensured responsible resource management by tenants and the property management staff at common tap areas.
Increased Billing
The GoSoft solution has helped Pamoke increase its revenue by 40% due to the accuracy of the meter reporting and quick resolution of faults thus reducing water loss.
Timely collections
Previously, tenants would take their time in making payments but this has now changed. The residents are more corporative in paying their bills on time as they have confidence that we are billing for the exact units they have consumed.
As we move forward, Konare Group Limited is looking to extend its partnership with GoSoft through managed services for its new residential property with ninety (90), 2-bedroom units. We are confident that our investment in ultrasonic smart water meters will continue to yield positive outcomes for our organization and contribute its long-term sustainability goals.
